Magouille
Aka “Fripouille,” “Le Petit Blanc” has been the pony partner in Eddie Bolino’s equestrian burlesque tricks for more than 15 years. Originally the pony of his daughter, Magouille, who took a liking to the lights, loves to be on the big stage in front of show audiences. A gifted pony mounted Haute École or on long-reins, best expresses himself at liberty. Capable of improvising, climbing on Eddie’s shoulders or putting himself on his back to become “l’avion-cheval” (the horse-plane), he really knows how to play his role. He in fact was Laurent’s first teacher.
Giboulée
The beautiful dappled brown Giboulée was born “at home”, a mixed breed of Lusitano and Mérens. She plays the dressage horse, with or without her bridle and jumping horse with or without her saddle… As a vaulting horse, she is able to land atop a mountain of post office parcels while Laurent stands on her back. She is calm and consistent and loves her mission as a show horse. Her personality shines brightly in her performances.
Opale
“Joli Blanc” is a Camargue that joined the company in 2018 as a stand-in for Magouille and Giboulée. A diligent student, he loves the life of a show horse and he represents his breed well as intelligent and versatile animals. An amazingly playful horse, he switches from energetic to laid back and seems to take pleasure in being on stage with his partner.
Jacob et Eperon
Laurent’s first horses at Andjaï, they performed the first Post Office routines and made the Way of Fire and the Minotaur possible. Now retired, this inseparable pair of Mérens have long been the pillar of the company.
